Cremation
The trust conducts death rituals for unclaimed bodies and for deceased individuals from financially deprived families, based on information received from the police or individuals. These bodies are collected from streets and mortuaries. After cremation, the bones and ashes are gathered and immersed in the holy waters of the Ganges in Varanasi. Over the past 26 years, the trust has performed funerals for thousands of deceased individuals.
